Holy Island is a place of prayer, retreat, and spiritual formation just off the coast of Northumberland. It has been described as a Cradle Place where Christian pilgrims and church leaders are drawn to be still, silent and strengthened; many come to be refreshed and renewed.

Since moving to live here in May 2025, Iain I seek to be available to listen, encourage and pray with pilgrims and day visitors, many of them leaders. We host retreats and share the deep historic roots of the Celtic saints who established prayer and worship in 635AD

We love to offer hospitality and a listening ear inviting people to encounter Jesus in this thin place.

People are drawn from near and far to this place and we walk in the footsteps of Aidan, Cuthbert, Hilda and many others in building up the body of Christ.

What your support makes possible

Your support helps sustain the practical life of ministry on Holy Island, including hospitality, prayer rhythms, ad hoc pastoral supervision, administration, and guided tours.

• serve and refresh Christian leaders who are visiting or are on retreat.

• offer onsite Pastoral Supervision, prayer and coaching.

• host retreats and offer hospitality and input to other retreat groups on the Island.

• developing resources.

• supporting and participating in the prayer rhythms, worship, outreach and fellowship with Holy Island Christians Together.
